Kepong is a large residential and commercial township in north-west Kuala Lumpur, with terraces from the 1970s and 1980s, busy shop rows in Kepong Baru and Metro Prima, and small factories and workshops around Jinjang and Sungai Buloh.
What we usually see in Kepong
Checking older roofs before panels go up
On houses from past decades, the roof decides the project. Clay tiles, older timber trusses, and past leak repairs are checked first, because fixing a roof is far easier before panels are mounted on it.
Shop-offices with daytime business
Clinics, cafés, and offices in shop-office rows use most of their electricity during business hours. Roof access and whether neighbouring units share the roof are checked during assessment.
Large factory and warehouse roofs
Factories and warehouses run machines and cooling during the day, when panels produce the most, on wide metal-deck roofs. Assessments look at roof sheeting, structure, and the site's daytime load.
