What an assistant looks for
Most assistants search the web, read business listings, and summarise what they find. They tend to favour businesses with signals like these.
- A clear identity: the same name, address, and phone everywhere
- A clear match: pages that say exactly what you do and where
- Proof: reviews, ratings, and mentions on other trusted sites
- Readable facts: hours, services, and service areas
Check how ready you are
Answer honestly. You will get a score and the fixes to start with.
01 Are your business name, address, and phone identical on your website, Google, and other listings?
02 Does each main service have its own page explaining what it is, who it is for, and where you offer it?
03 Do you get recent, genuine reviews and reply to them?
04 Is your business mentioned on other trusted sites, such as directories, associations, or local news?
05 Can search engines read your website without errors, and is it fast on mobile?
06 Do you publish practical facts like hours, service areas, and what a typical job involves?
Why the answer changes each time
AI answers vary with the exact wording, the user's location, and what the assistant finds at that moment. Being named once does not mean you will be named every time, and missing once is not permanent.
Avoid the shortcuts
Fake reviews, invented awards, and pages written only to manipulate AI are risky. Platforms remove fake reviews, and misleading claims can break consumer protection rules. Real signals last longer.
