A chemical wash takes the indoor unit apart so the coil, blower wheel, and drain tray can be soaked and cleaned properly. It clears the mould and slime a general service cannot reach.
Signs you need it
A musty smell when the aircon starts, black spots on the blower wheel, water leaking again soon after a service, or weak cooling even with clean filters.
What the technician does
The cover, blower, and drain tray are removed. The coil is treated with a coil cleaner, the parts are washed separately, and everything is refitted and tested. Plan for about 1.5 to 2 hours per unit.
