Installation of a new split unit or a replacement for an old one: sizing the horsepower to the room, running the copper piping and drain, mounting the outdoor unit safely, and a vacuum and test before handover.
Choosing the size
A common rule of thumb in Malaysia is 1.0 HP for a room up to about 150 sq ft, 1.5 HP up to about 250 sq ft, 2.0 HP up to about 350 sq ft, and 2.5 HP up to about 450 sq ft. West-facing rooms and top-floor units may need a size up.
What the technician does
Piping length and route are agreed first, then the indoor bracket, piping, drain, and cable are run and covered with trunking. The outdoor unit goes on a bracket or the floor, the system is vacuumed, and cooling is tested with you.
What to send us
Room size, the wall where you want the indoor unit, where the outdoor unit can go, photos of both spots, and whether there is existing piping from an old unit.
