A bathroom renovation that starts under the tiles: new waterproofing and a water ponding test before any tile goes down, so the finished room does not leak into the floor below.
What the work covers
Hacking the old tiles and screed, re-routing water and waste pipes, waterproofing membrane on the floor and up the walls, new tiles, vanity, water closet, shower set, and glass screen.
How the job runs
After hacking and piping, the waterproofing is left under water for a 24 to 48 hour ponding test. Tiling starts only after it passes. Fittings go in last, and every tap and drain is tested with you.
Before we start
Another bathroom you can use during the work, the fittings you want to keep, and your choice between a shower screen and a curtain.
