Household pests

Ant control

Baiting for ghost ants, crazy ants, and other indoor ant trails.

Ant bait station placed at the back of a kitchen counter.

Spraying the ants you can see rarely stops them, and for some species it splits the colony into several new ones. Baits are carried back to the nest and deal with it there.

Signs to look for

Ant trails along counters, skirting, and window frames, ants in sugar and pet food, and nests in wall gaps, electrical sockets, or potted plants.

How the treatment works

The species and trails are identified, then gel or granular bait is placed along them indoors and out. Activity usually drops over several days as the bait reaches the nest.

Before the visit

Wipe food spills and store food in sealed containers, but leave the trails themselves so the bait can be placed on them.
